Setting: When and where does this chapter happen?
The story takes place in Springfield--the Shoe Warehouse and Gladstone Shoes.

Plot: Write a summary (5 to 7 sentences) of what happens in the chapter.
Mrs. G goes to her store in Springfield, and Jenna goes to the Shoe Warehouse, another shoe company that is trying to buy Mrs. G's company. Jenna finds out that the manager is trying to cheat the customers. Jenna helps the customers herself. She sells five pairs of shoes in under 10 minutes. The customer tried to use a coupon, but the manager won't let her use the coupons. Jenna gets a police officer and brings him to the store. The manager ends up letting the customer use the coupon.

Jenna reports to Mrs. G the problems with the other company. She acted like a shoe spy again.

Jenna reads a magazine and finds out that Ken Woldman is the owner of the Shoe Warehouse.

Characters: What new information do you learn about the main characters (Jenna, Mrs. Gladstone, Alice, Elden, Harry Bender)?
Mrs. G always tries to sell shoes of good quality. We learn more about how Jenna is a good, professional shoe salesperson. We find out that the Shoe Warehouse is not a good company.

Analysis: Why is this chapter important to the story?
It tells us that they want to know more about the Shoe Warehouse--the company that wants to buy Gladstone's Shoes. We learn about Ken Woldman. We learn that you should do better business to get more profit than doing bad business and getting lower profit.
